Entirely unaware that he had an audience, Eric kept it up. His movements were fluid, hips inspired to sway with the music and feet bouncing against the bed in time. Yes, he was the sort to go about dancing on his bed. And while he wasn’t bad at it, it seemed his balance needed a little work — for one wrong step and he was sent (in a fit of loud shouts and cursing) tumbling to the ground with a crash. Sheets tangled around his legs and hair disheveled.

Alan smiled shyly. “I can’t really explain it too well.” He murmured. “But you bring a smile to my face… you brighten my life. I feel as though we both bring light to each other…” ‘As if we complete each other.’ He finished in his thoughts. “Thank you for saving me.” He said after a moment’s pause.

Eric could scarcely believe what he was hearing. All this time, he’d felt like a weed. Could it really be that he helped Alan overcome his illness more than he’d thought – even without collecting one thousand souls? “Don’ thank me.” He replied softly. “I’ll always be here tae save ye when I can.” To emphasize, he squeezed Alan’s hand tenderly. “No matter wha’ it takes.” It was, perhaps, the most honest  thing he’d ever said to his friend.
