“I didn’ do a damn thing!” Eric shot the cat a nasty look. “I was jus’ goin’ tae pet him an’ he attacked me!" 

William sighed. “Honestly, Slingby you cannot lie to save your life. Now, what did you do to my cat that he attacked you?” 

"I was jus’ playin’ wi’ him.” That was a little closer to the truth. Eric gave a short huff and crossed his arms over his chest.
