“Oh, Alan!” Eric perked immediately, smiling. “Did ye now? Ye kno’ ye dinnae have tae do tha’!”

“I thought you would like it.” Alan handed him a small wrapped parcel.

Gingerly, Eric took the parcel and studied it. “Ye did, eh?”  He began to pull away the wrappings – careful not to rip or tear them.
