At first, Eric wasn’t sure how to react. This was his very good friend that was sealing a gentle kiss against his forehead, arguably the best friend he’d had in quite some time. He grinned sheepishly and his cheeks flushed a light pink. “Wha’ was tha’ for, then?”

“For good luck, old friend. Old custom is to impart good luck through a kiss on the neck, but I thought that a bit intimate by modern standards,” he replied with a light chuckle. 

“Well, if tha’s it…!” Eric reached out to cup each of his friends cheeks, and leaned down to promptly deliver a sloppy kiss to his forehead.
