(( I can’t stand it when people don’t understand that writing isn’t about catharsis or self inserting.

writing has always been about projecting some kind of truth (or hell, even lies) for me, writing has always been about creating an experience for your readers. an adventure, an experience, an emotional roller coaster that they don’t ever want to get off of.

make them feel uncomfortable. sad. angry. hurt. sure, give them moments of peace, but meet it with conflict and stresses and pain. meet it with reality. in life that’s always how it goes. one moment bleeds into the next and you don’t know what’s coming.
that's what it’s all about.
reminding them of the things they don’t want to remember. remind them of their mortality. remind them that they are alone and that’s okay. remind them that everything is temporary and nothing is forever.
remind them that they are human and alive, and that is the only thing that matters at all.
