✦ Has your own interpretation changed from when you first began playing the character?
[ Oh, absolutely! When I first started writing Eric, I had never come into contact with the fandom at all. Really, my roommate/best friend @grellshitei convinced me to watch Kuromyu II with her one day, and I ended up really wanting to write Eric. I had never watched the anime or read the manga at this point. So all the information I had about Kuro, I got through her.
Now, years later, I think I understand Eric a little better. I’ve certainly researched Scotland and Scots as a language, too. Dialects in Scotland, slang. That kind of thing. I remember reading lots of Scottish poetry at one point for the sake of learning. ]

[ I honestly think of Eric as metrosexual. He’s probably the kind of guy that grooms a lot and takes a lot of pride in his appearance (just look at his hair/sparkly tie). ]
[ I guess just the massive romanticization of his character in general. A lot of people say, “Oh, how sweet! He’s wiling to kill for Alan!” But let’s be real guys: Eric didn’t do it for Alan, he did it for himself. Alan asked him to stop. If not for Eric, Alan would have lived longer. I’ve probably said this a million times, but yeah.
That and the fact that people seem to think that because he’s Scottish he’d speak in Scots 100% of the time. lmao.
That said, I think what makes the Kuro fandom enjoyable is that we all have different interpretations of the same character. While I might have my preferences, I really do enjoy seeing what other people come up with for the same character. ]
